Ancestor Score 2018: 80% in the 10th generation & other statistics

Inspired by the “Ancestor Score of other blogs (for example: Opening Doors in Brick Walls), I calculated and posted my first Ancestor Score in February 2016. Shortly after posting it, I had to remove several wrong ancestors, decreasing my score. I shouldn't have worried for I found more than enough ancestors later in 2016 to compensate for the loss. New ancestors since my first Ancestor Score include the medieval Lords of Strijen and the De Beveren family in Dordrecht.

GeneaNet defines an Ancestor Score as “comparing the number of possible ancestors with the number of identified ancestors on a 10-generation report. I work with 20 generations. The “Bandwidth” of a generation is determined by the earliest and latest known birth or baptism date within that generation.

My Ancestor Score at generation 10 is now 79.9%. It will never reach the 100%, because some cousins intermarried, resulting in a decrease in generation 7.
The total number of my ancestors - starting with my parents (generation 2) up to generation 20 is now 4324. Generation 12 (between 1538 and 1695) has the most known ancestors with a total of 772.

Among my ancestors are 2 men who each married 5 times: Pieter Huigen Blaak (1640-1715) and Crijn Jans Tuck (born in 1666). One ancestral couple in the 17th century had 16 children: Arij Peijensz Hoogerwaert and his wife Trijntje Willem Cornelisdr. Another ancestor, Otto van Driel (1756-1832), lived in Strijen and had 17 children with 2 wives. Male-line ancestor Cornelis Bos (1813-88) lived in Cillaarshoek and had 17 children with 2 wives, too. In 1630 Beatricx Wouters Roothals and Jan Dericxsen van Nederveen were the parents of a triplet, but all 3 children died young.
