In October 1852 Judith Gerdessen, widow of Adriaan Kleijn, had her daughter Cornelia Kleijn placed under guardianship due to insanity.

Judith gave birth to a son Arie Kleijn on 21 January 1821 in Asperen. Another daughter, Adriana Maria, was born there on 15 November 1822. Their youngest son, Gijsbert, was born on 17 November 1825 in Asperen. Judith's younger children Adriana Maria, Arie and Gijsbert would all get married. Arie and Gijsbert Kleijn both had an elongated face, and black and brown hair respectively. Arie had a big nose, while Gijsbert had a pointed nose.
The children's mother, Judith Gerdessen, was baptised in Buren, The Netherlands, on 29 June 1788 as daughter of Jan Gerdessen and Arnolda Kosters. Witnesses at her baptism were Cornelis Kosters and Adriana Maria Timmermans.
Judith's husband, Adriaan Kleijn, was baptised in Asperen on 4 April 1779 as son of Arij Klein and Cornelia Hackert. At the age of 71, Adriaan Kleijn died in Asperen on 21 July 1850. His daughter Adriana Maria Kleijn, wife of Pieter van Malsen*, died at the age of 35 on 8 January 1858 in Ommen, The Netherlands.
The insane Cornelia Kleijn died, aged 42, on 19 January 1861, around 10 o'clock in the morning, in Dordrecht, Holland. Her mother, Judith Gerdessen, died at the age of 85 on 10 January 1874 in Asperen.
* Pieter van Malsen, brother-in-law of Cornelia Kleijn, was a son of Arie van Malsen and Pieternella de Bondt (1797-1855), daughter of Cornelis de Bondt (1762-1812) and Maaike van Nughteren (1772-1849) in Zwijndrecht, Holland.
