Short-lived Marriage ~ Maria Fresia Kromme and Hermann Franz Kromme

Herman Franz Kromme was born on 14 March 1842 in Schapen near Hannover in Germany as illegitimate son of Aleid Kromme.
Hermann Franz supported himself as a salesman, and ended up in the northeastern part of The Netherlands. In Grijpskerk, on 8 May 1865, he married Maria Tresia Kromme. She was born in there on 5 March 1842 as daughter of Elisabeth Smeda (1815-1884) and Johannes Theodorus Joseph Kromme, who had been married just a couple of weeks before on 17 February 1842 in Grijpskerk. Like his son-in-lauw, Johannes Theodorus Joseph Kromme originated from Schapen in Germany, too.
Maria Tresia gave birth to a daughter Elisabeth Kromme on 20 February 1866 in Niezijl. The young mother died there on 19 March 1866, aged 24. Maria Tresia's father, Johannes Theodorus Joseph Kromme, died the next year on 14 June 1867 in Grijpskerk, aged 64.

Because Hermann Franz Kromme was not a Dutch resident, he did not have to perform military service in the Netherlands

Widower Hermann Franz Kromme married secondly on 1 February 1870 in Oude Pekela. His bride was Elisabeth Helena Savenije, born in Oude Pekela on 31 August 1839 as eldest daughter of Johannes Josephus Savenije and his wife Agatha Wortelboer (1813-1874).
With his second wife, Hermann Franz had several children, including their eldest daughter Margaretha Alida Kromme, born on 27 February 1871 in Oldehove. At the age of 24, Margaretha Alida married on 20 May 1895 in Winschoten Johann Wilhelm Siemers. He was a German before he was naturalized as a Dutch citizen around 1881. Johann Wilhelm was widower of Joanna Maria Savenije (1850-1894), a younger sister of Margaretha Alida's mother. The couple had several children, including a son Johannes Theodorus Josephus Siemers (1898-1943). Margaretha Alida Kromme died on 1 February 1908 in the city of Groningen, aged 36.
Her widower, Johann Wilhelm Siemers, married a third time on 30 November 1911 in Twistringen, Germany. His third wife was Anna Helena Hermina Lembeck (1882-1950). This marriage ended in divorce on 14 December 1926 in Assen. Her second marriage ended in divorce, too, on 26 February 1940 in Meppel. Johan Wilhelm Siemers had died on 3 February 1940 in Haarlem in Holland.

Elisabeth Kromme, the only daughter of Hermann Fransz Kromme with his first wife Maria Tresia Kromme, married on 20 May 1893 in Uithuizen, at the age of 27. The groom was Gerardus Vos (1863-1905), son of Hermannus Vos en Bouwina Bronts. Their daughter Bouwina Anna Vos was born on 27 January 1903 in Uithuizen.
At the age of 41, the widowed Elisabeth married secondly on 10 May 1907 in Uithuizen. Her second husband was 40-year-old Jakobus Smit (1867-1943). Early 1908, Elisabeth gave birth to their daughter Regnera Elizabeth (Nera).
Elisabeth Kromme died on 25 January 1933 in Montfoort near Utrecht, aged 66.
